Final post for a few months as we now are laid up and winterized in Demopolis, AL. Kingfisher Bay Marina is a very nice, quiet, clean and well managed marina - everything seems first class. John Felix came as first mate for the run from Aqua yacht to Kingfisher Bay 230 river miles and 10 locks. We made the run in 3 travel days and then began winterizing and installing the bridge and cockpit covers - several hundred snaps, lift-a-dot and common sense connectors. Dinghy came home -1080 road miles - so we can hopefully find the leak and repair it. One of the 10 locks on the Tenn-Tom Waterway. We were dropping elevation at each lock for this section of the trip. Floating bollards are not easy to tie off to in the wind with cleats in the position they are on the Ark. These "wickets" can be rotated during floods and pleasure craft can bypass the lock and drive over the wickets. Always a good site to see the lock doors opening.
