Happy Easter from Demopolis, AL

We had planned to head down river on or about 3/25 but God had different timing in mind and we are learning patience. River flooding and then health issues and now river flooding again have us stationary in Demopolis. We will have to wait for the River to crest and fall below flood stage before heading South. Always plenty of small projects and organizational work to do to fill our time. The local Methodist church was a nice place to celebrate Christ's resurrection this morning. The IV antibiotic seems to have the foot infection on the run so to speak and the side of effects of the oral antibiotics are fading so things are looking up medically.

We have been in a nice covered slip riding out the thunderstorms.

Currently 7 looper boats in the water at Kingfisher according to NEBO.
Video of the killdeer we see on every dog walk.

The pair both fake injury and try to draw us away from their nest.
Video of the pool below Demopolis lock and dam this morning after church. Lots float and very high flow rate.

Looking like a Thursday crest but that could change. We definitely want to see the river fall a bit before we try and run South to the Gulf of Mexico.

Back to home port.

George Kemp to Grand Marais and then on to Marquette.

Looking like we'll be in Demopolis for another week.
