Ready to go.

We spent some time last night at the local emergency room dealing with some foot trouble for Lez and some antibiotics seem to have things heading the right way. Returning the rental car the young lady behind the counter asks if I am carrying and wants to be sure I have removed all my firearms - you gotta love Alabama! Shakedown run up river went well - everything good except the radar which won't power up. I remember countless shakedown cruises with my dad growing up on Lake Superior - he was always excited to get the boat in the water but sometimes it was a 30 minute spin around the bay - seemed like a lot of work for the length of the ride but the memories of his excitement linger on. Dinghy is set, bimini on and engines running well with the new exhaust hoods. river is stable tomorrow and Thursday and then climbing fast again so if the toe is good and weather looks OK in the morning we are heading down river. Once we leave Demopolis we will be offline for 2-3 days minimum. I am adding an addendum 4/13 - Lez's foot infection/cellulitis is worse so we are stationary until we get this resolved - maybe we are supposed to be celebrating Easter here in Demopolis with our new friends. Enjoy every day!

These vines have clusters of flowers that look like grapes.

 More of the same.

Dinner at the Fescue Plantation house - excellent food.

They would cut your steak off a big prime rib to your desired thickness table side.

River just below its banks today.

Electrical is set up about 6 feet to allow for flooding.

They heat the pool with a wood burning furnace.
