STILL BATTLING GREMLINS AND NOW WITH THEIR FRIEND ALGAE IN THE FUEL.

We got some fuel before leaving Marathon and as soon as we tried to get up on plane our starboard engine would surge it ran fine when we slowed to hull speed so we fished and walked our way into Key Largo. After much discussion with my diesel friends and prayers we elected to change the secondary fuel filters at the starboard engine ands if that cured it because the port was running fine. As soon as we ran up the starboard was surging and before long the port was surging too. We were able to hold 110 rpm and fished and walked our way into SouthBeach - Miami. Massive marina complex right in the heart of South Beach. Met Paul and Marcia Wharton for dinner and Paul has helped with knowledge, filter pick up and got us set up with a marina and diesel crew to filter and polish the fuel tomorrow. Changed the Racors on the mains and genset - lots of black algae. This algae must be tuff stuff to thrive in diesel fuel! Engines fired up and idle smoothly so we will be heading to Fort Lauderdale 6/13.

Must have been free beer at Aligator reef.

Crazy shallow at times even on the Atlantic side.

We had to walk all the way back to the furthest point in the canal system for our slip in Key Largo.

Nebo finally doing it's thing.

We are the little guy 1 in from the right.

LED's looked pretty cool.

Looking down the first part of the canal.

70 Azmut throwing a rooster tail.

Our marina in South Beach.

Ditto

Racors were black with algae.

Cleaned them the best I could.

Just a little of the algae that came out of the Racor bowl.

The only thing we caught yesterday was a 30 inch Cuda.
