We have been in the UP internet dead zone for a few days but are now below the Soiux locks and in Lake Huron. Mostly smooth sailing and dogs adapt well to the varying dock levels and conditions. We made it through our first lock smoothly and are heading for Lake Michigan. Nice fresh lake trout last night and venison steak this evening. We said farewell to second mate John Felix and Trixie - great asset for the start of our journey. Enjoy every day folks!

The water was glass heading into the St Mary's river Thursday morning.
