Volvo technician came today to rid the Ark of her electronic gremlins. He spent over an hour cleaning connectors and relays and testing what he could - the relay connections were impressively corroded! Hopefully we are good to go. Water test tomorrow weather permitting.

Lots of big boats here in Charlevoix, helped one guy with a different but similar engine control problem keep from crushing a small boat and damaging himself on the dock this morning - we aren't the Lone Ranger as far as engine and control problems go. Round Lake is lined with huge boat houses. We are free to explore tomorrow and Thursday.

Hello you Brave Ones! Grant and I are very interested in your route and are happy to be included in your blog, I must say, this is the 1st time that either of us have responded to a blog, (I already deleted my 1st entry without posting) My favorite photo so far is of Leslie at her 1st lock, what a thrill that must have been:) Are you taking the Mighty Mississippi all the way to the Gulf or are you taking the Tennessee River? Let us know when your headed to Paducah. We look forward to keeping an eye on you two and look seeing you soon. Grant and Tana
Good to hear that the problem may be only a connection clean up. Forge Ahead-be safe

I thought I had replied but don't see it - we will head up the Ohio to Paducah - should be there late September depending upon weather etc.. Front moving in now will have us pinned down for a few days. Kyle and Lez
