Dinghy ride to walk the dogs on the opposite bank went well. We are tied up to a tug boat dock on the far shore - nice stable location for the night.

First mates favorite stairs - 26 steps, steeper than they look with see through metal grates. Dogs didn't like them either - hence the second walk using the dinghy.

Surprise post today - 70+ miles with only 1 lock. Beautiful sunrise that just kept getting better on our morning dog walk. Fueled up and off to the lock - 1 hour until 7 other pleasure boats joined us. Saw 1 dredging operation and the barge tows are getting bigger - lots of 15 packs to start then quiet for the last 30 miles. Lots of cabins on stilts to survive the flooding. Ark running good.
The IVY Club marina has the same "brock dock" decking as our house in Chanhassen.

God's paintbrush got started early today.

Kept getting more colorful.

As we walked it grew vertically also.

This was my favorite.

Sunrise over the Ark.

Dogs got bored waiting to lock down in Peoria.

Dredge used up 2/3 of the channel and was pumping silt over 1/2 mile.

12" steel pipe on floats to pump the silt 1/2 mile.

2 tugs and the pump barge.

Crazy how these trees cling to life along the shore of the river.

Ditto.
