We learned a lot about cruising through Chicago - Burnham harbor had the worst cell and wifi coverage you can imagine. There are a lot of very low clearance bridges. It is all no wake for the first 5 miles. It seems like Venice when you float through on your own boat.
Guess who is the king of the world.

The Bears were who we thought they were - we let em off the hook.

9/10 skyline was nice.

Big city - tough guy town.

Navy peer.

Ditto.

Chicago Harbor lock - we went through alone.

First bridge and Trump tower.

Wide angle first bridge.

Things are looking up.

Lots of strange lift bridges.

Vertical lift bridge-automatically raised when we got close.

Back home in Ashland.

Looks close - it seemed even closer from the bridge.

2 35-40 foot drops today.

Lockport.

Ready to go.

Lots of grass and flotsam today.

Back to home port.

George Kemp to Grand Marais and then on to Marquette.

Looking like we'll be in Demopolis for another week.
