Looking like we'll be in Demopolis for another week.

Foot infection has us slowed down and with the weather/flood window closing it looks like we will celebrate Easter in Demopolis. Looking like rain and rapidly rising river for the next few days. Our friends the Gandy's in Jackson MS got Lez set up to see a Dr there tomorrow - foot finally looking a bit better but we don't want to risk trouble 200 miles from medical care on the river. The marina workers were busy this afternoon trying to corner a 5-6 foot water moccasin under our dock - my advice was to eliminate with extreme prejudice.

These critters are all over and try to nest in every nook and cranny. Just under 1" long. We are both double aces taking out over 10 enemy aircraft apiece.

They have a nice pool here and are working every day with the landscaping.

Roses are coming into bloom.

4-14-2022 -Thinking of you two, especially today. Happy Birthday Leslie. Your card is in the mail...j/k. Hope you have a great day and that your foot is on the mend. Miss you two. Have a happy Easter in Demopolis. You aren't missing anything here weather-wise. It's been a gloomy week. Take care. Safe travels. C & R

Regarding the water moccasin - nice quote from "Apocalypse Now". Another I liked was "Are my methods unsound? .... I don't see any method at all, sir". Evia & I are glad to hear that Leslie is feeling better. Scott is thinking ice-out at Marina will be early May, hoping to splash shortly after, but need to address a pair of seals in the saildrive that I didn't get a chance to complete last fall. Hope the journey continues to be fun and memorable. Live Well!
