Schenectady Yacht Club was a nice marina - great pool, excellent dog walking.

Morning walk.

We left the marina in hero water - should have been slalom skiing.

3 old wooden boats resting on shore.

Huge crane by our first lock.

Each lock has a plaque with statistics on lift and distances etc..

Many locks are 33 feet but the last 4 today were 8 feet.

We ran with these folks all day due to the short distances between locks and the algae in our fuel prevented us from running on plane.

Adirondack power plant next to this lock - most had hydro power plants but I don't think they are generating power now.

Down inside to start.

Looking up before looking down by the end of the lift.

Looking and reaching down to hold the rope.

Amazing day for a cruise.

Hydro plant intake.

Waterski jump ramp - portable.

Really rough lock wall in this chamber.

Toward the end of the lift we were well above the lock wall.

Smallest working tug ever.

Lock dog.

We are now 287 feet above the Hudson river.

Live band across the street tonight. Hopefully 7 locks and about 60m miles tomorrow.
