Lyons to Pittsford old school.

We tried everything we could think of at Miller's marina in Lyons but nothing got our starboard engine or any electronics back on line. No service people available on the canal between here and Buffalo so we decided to run to Pittsford - old school - no map no VHF radio and no chart plotter map. Thankfully we got in safe and sound. Tried a few more things but nothing seemed to get us running. Our mechanic from Norfolk checked in to see how we were doing - God appointment. He said it sounds like a ground issue. I cleaned every accessible ground and we got everything back on line! We couldn't have moved today because a bridge ahead was closed but it reopened today. Reprovisioned , changed the oil and we are ready to run tomorrow.
Wiring behind the breaker panel is a rats nest of AC and DC.

Ditto.

Perko switches seemed Ok

Connections were corroded.

Our run.

Looking back at Miller's Marina in Lyons - really nice folks.

28A

We were blessed with a beautiful calm morning to learn how to run with one engine.

28B so they could have no lock #31???

The lock walls are definitely getting rougher.

Nothing on the starboard.

Rough walls.

The Admiral has her work cu tout for her with these walls.

Ditto

Mud welling up as the lock filled.

We are as low as we can get - by the Grace of God so far we have been low enough - a bit claustrophobic.

Running one engine in a crowed canal is not relaxing.

This section has tapering concrete sides.

History all the way along

Looking back at the ARK from dinner.

2 rental boats ahead of us.

Beatles cover band next to the boat Friday night.

Run into Pittsford.

Reprovisioned Saturday.

Looking back across at last nights restaurant.

Ducks and geese bothering Storm while we talked with our neighbors. Hopefully 65 miles tomorrow - 2 locks but several low and many rotating, raising bridges.
