Another beautiful day for a cruise - we started out of Presque Isle protected from the West wind but it got bumpy pretty quick and we slowed to a gentle 11 mph cruise across the top of Lake Huron. 8/23 was the day we officially crossed our wake and completed our Great Loop.

Leaving Presque Isle 8/23/222

Nice sunrise greeted us as we left the harbor.

Got bumpy quickly.

3 footers most of the way across.

This is an interesting set-up: the tug with a really high pilot house sleeves inside the back of the freighter.

Presque Isle lighthouse - Lake Huron.

Port Austin to Presque Isle Nebo track.

Sunset Presque Isle State Harbor.

Sunrise 8/23 leaving De Tour Village on the St Mary's river.

Chart plotter look at where we crossed our wake 1 year and 3 days when we last split the water here.

De Tour shoal light

You really have to look close but that is our wake 8/23/22 crossing over our 8/20/21 wake

By the time we got across Huron the wind had played down and it was calm at the mouth of the St Mary's river

Nebo for Presque Isle to De Tour.

Lez, I and what is left of our crew. Storm has been a trooper but he misses Brett too.

Sunrise 8/24 at De Tour on our way to Sault St Marie

Lots of freighters passed our marina at De Tour State Harbor.

Impressive bow wake when these big boys are pushing up current.

Many areas along the St Mary's river with large sections of dead trees.

Canal section with sides lined with what they dug out to create the channel.

8/24 was completely calm along our run up the river.

1000 footer passing our marina in Sault St Marie George Kemp marina.

Nebo run 8/24/22. Woke up to a steady rain and 17 mph wind out on Whitefish Bay - elected to spend another day here in Sault St Marie. Got the racor for the gennygator and changed both fuel filters and we are back on line. Enjoy every day!
