Up river to Poughkeepsie and back into fresh water. Day 8 of zero electronic gremlins!

We slept in and got started after 8:30 this morning in very light wind and clouds. Temps when running were very nice - got really hot when we slowed down heading into Poughkeepsie Yacht Club.
Choo choo run through Rock Ridge and every 20 minutes up and down the Hudson.

Really scenic section of the river today with lots of rocky bluffs. Pushing up river into a strong current since we left the ocean.

Deep with steep bluffs on both sides.

Anthony's nose is a 900 foot bluff right at the Eastern edge of this suspension bridge.

West Point

Impressive structure in a very picturesque setting.

Constitution Island - West Point and World's End??

Beautiful day for a cruise.

Choo choo runs along the river, road about half way up.

Big suspension bridge at Poughkeepsie - this is about where the salt water ends.

Still big barge tows here at Poughkeepsie Yacht Club - about 5 miles above the salt water line. Nice to be back in fresh water!
